Live-in Caregiver to join our son's team.
Full-time, in-home position Calgary, AB $18–$20/hour
About the client: Our 14-year-old son has quadriplegic cerebral palsy. He is wheelchair-bound, non-verbal and requires 24-hour adult support.
Our Goal is to Provide our son with a meaningful life throughout his lifetime.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Administer bedside and personal care
- Administer medication
- Assist with bathing and personal hygiene
- Assist with range-of-motion exercises
- Change non-sterile dressings
- Collect specimens
- Feed or assist using a feeding pump
- Launder and mend clothing and linens
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning
- Plan therapeutic diets and menus
- Provide companionship
- Provide personal care
- Shop for food and household supplies
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals
- Assist with eye-gaze and BCI operation
- Operate BiPAP
- Complete transfers using ceiling/floor lifts
- Record and chart care
- Attend and accompany medical appointments
- Cook
- Perform other functions as directed
