Job Title:

Carpenter

Dhillon Framing is a well-established residential and commercial framing company based in Surrey, BC. Our team delivers high-quality framing solutions on projects across the Lower Mainland. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our team. This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate material requirements
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials for framing
• Build foundations, install floor beams, and lay subflooring
• Frame walls, roofs, and structural components according to specifications
• Erect and dismantle concrete formwork, scaffolding, ramps and other structures as required
• Install trim items such as windows, doors, staircases and mouldings, where required
• Maintain, repair and renovate residential and commercial structures
• Operate and maintain carpentry tools and equipment safely
• Coordinate and collaborate with other trades and crew members on site
• Follow all workplace health and safety requirements and site protocols

Employment Requirements

• Completion of Secondary School is required.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience as a carpenter is required.
• Able to work long hours, weekends, and outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Must have enough stamina to handle the job
• Ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions
• Flexible schedule - some weekends and long hours may be required
• Ability to read and speak English.

Wage and Benefits

• $30.00 per hour
• 40 hours per week
• Permanent, full-time position
