Farm Supervisor

Forever Bloom Produce Ltd., located in Kelowna, BC, is looking to hire a Farm Supervisor for its apple orchard. The ideal candidate should have at least one year of experience, preferably in apple orchards, the ability to work in all weather conditions, and the completion of secondary school, which would be considered an asset.

The supervisor will perform the following duties:

Coordinate and supervise the work of harvesting labourers.
Supervise harvest operations
Ensure activities are performed according to the Apple management schedule during the 4 seasons.
Train workers on pruning, identifying and removing shoots with white tips or infested, on weed control and pest control, harvesting, removal of diseased trees, if needed, etc.
Monitor irrigation and supervise irrigation lines to ensure they are not damaged by foot traffic, animal activity or wear and tear.
Develop work schedules and establish procedures
Maintain quality control and harvest records.
Train general farm workers and ensure farm safety and security procedures are followed
Perform general farm duties as required.

Wages: $23.00 per hour, 40 hrs per week.
