Hare Horizon, a construction company located in Surrey, BC, is looking to hire a Painter to work on residential projects.
These are the duties:
- Reading blueprints/instructions and examining surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work required.
- Making on-site preparations such as building scaffolds, setting up ladders, covering fixtures and surfaces, etc.
- Preparing walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, and repairing the surface receiving the paint.
- Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g. plaster)
- Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right colour or texture.
- Apply varnish and other finishes.
- Adhere to all health and safety precautions.
- Clean up the working area at the end of the work.
The painter will have these skills:
- Completion of secondary education is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience is required
- Familiar with painting materials and how to select, mix and apply them.
- Solid knowledge of painting techniques.
- Aptitude in using appropriate tools.
- Familiar with working in heights and on scaffolds.
Work location: 13461 55A Ave. Surrey, BC V3X 3D5 and the surrounding areas.
Wages: 28.00/hour. Full-time, 40 hours per week.
