Long Haul Truck Drivers

Gpex Transport Inc. is seeking 10 long haul truck drivers. Start date as soon as possible.

Salary $30.25 / hour or 48 cents per mile, whichever is more. Full time: 40-50 hours per week.

Requirements:

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience not required, but is an asset
Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks), Air Brakes Endorsement
Driver's validity licence check, Driving record check (abstract)
Must be able to:
- Travel for extended periods
- Drive manual transmission vehicle
- Do repetitive tasks
- Sit for long periods
- Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment
- Use trip recorder (on-board computer)
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
- Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
- Load and unload goods up to 50 lbs
- Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
Must also be able to complete driver logbook, accident or incident reports, trip reports.
