Sanitation workers are responsible for ensuring our seafood production facility is cleaned and sanitized in a timely fashion in accordance with HACCP and CFIA regulations.

Job duties:

  • Wash and sanitize equipment, tools, and surfaces inside and outside the plant according to the company’s established Sanitation Program
  • Handle and mix industrial strength chemicals
  • High pressure washing and sanitizing
  • Remove debris and garbage from the plant floor
  • Disassemble and assemble equipment
  • Report broken, damaged, or unsafe equipment
  • Strictly follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) for working in a food processing plant.
  • Perform safety and security checks
  • Work with minimal supervision

 

Requirements:

  • Education: No formal education is required
  • Previous cleaning experience in a food manufacturing environment is an asset. Training will be provided.
  • Ability/Aptitude to operate equipment such as pressure washers, forklift, and various hand tools to assemble and disassemble equipment is preferred.

Wage: Hourly rate of $28.85 per hour, 40 hours per week.
