Role Description

Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for:

negotiate freight rates with outside carriers
plan carriers on best routes to maximize on time delivery and gross profit
tracking and tracing planned pick ups at shipping locations
tracking and tracing carriers in transit and planned for daily delivery
request delivery appointments with receivers
advise carrier contact of delivery information (Deliver # and confirmed date/time)
adjust delivery appointments based on ETA of carriers on route, when required
update internal and external operating systems, Windows based (user friendly)
update customers of daily tracing results
highlight any potential service failures and make alternate plan
print and send confirmations as required to carrier contacts
answer queries on location and ETA as requested by receiver/customer
