Job Description:
The person will perform the following job duties:
- Maintain, troubleshoot, repair and administer networks and connections to the Internet
- Evaluate and install hardware, networking software, operating system software and software apps
- Operate consoles and monitor the performance of computer systems and networks
- Coordinate access and use of computer networks
- Provide problem-solving services
- Perform routine network start up and close downs
- Maintain control records
- Perform data backups and disaster recovery
- Conduct tests and perform security controls
- Perform shell scripting or other scripting tasks
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot and upgrade hardware and software
- Implement network traffic and security monitoring and optimize server
- Control and monitor e-mail use, website and software
- Respond to requests for help and information
