Business Development Lead - Employment & Training Services
We are an employment and training services firm that helps small and medium-sized businesses build, hire, and develop their workforce. We source and place qualified candidates for open roles AND deliver training programs that upskill our clients? existing teams.
About the Role
This is a sales role. You are not recruiting candidates or delivering training. Your job is to find Small and Medium size businesses (SMBs) that need to hire staff, train staff, or both ? pitch our services, and sign them as paying clients. You earn commission on every successful placement and every delivered training engagement that comes from a client you brought in.
Compensation
This role is structured as a 90-day paid trial:
- Months 1?3: $1,500/month base salary.
- Commission: paid on every successful placement and every delivered training engagement made through clients you signed ? earned once the client has paid their invoice to us.
- After month 3: Strong performers transition to a permanent, full-time position with us. Others may continue on a commission-only contract basis if mutually agreed.
Earnings are uncapped throughout. Because clients often need both hiring and training, you have multiple ways to earn from each relationship over time.
What You?ll Do
- Prospect SMBs that need hiring support, employee training, or both ? via cold outreach, LinkedIn, networking, and referrals.
- Pitch and sell our placement and training services to owners, HR leads, and hiring managers.
- Negotiate and close service agreements covering recruitment, training, or both.
- Manage your own pipeline and report on activity weekly.
- Hand signed clients off to our internal recruiting and training teams for fulfillment.
- Build long-term client relationships that drive repeat placements and ongoing training engagements.
What We?re Looking For
- Proven B2B sales or business development experience.
- Existing knowledge of, or active network within, the Greater Moncton business community is strongly preferred.
- Self-starter motivated by a performance-driven compensation model.
- Strong outreach and closing skills.
- Reliable internet and your own laptop.
This Role Isn't for Everyone
Success in this position depends heavily on knowing the local business landscape. The people most likely to thrive here are those with existing familiarity with ? and ideally connections to ? businesses in the Greater Moncton area. If you already understand the local SMB market, know who's hiring, and have credibility opening doors with Moncton business owners and HR leaders, this role is for you. Pay: $1,500.00-$3,000.00 per month
