We are seeking four long haul truck drivers. Start date as soon as possible.
Salary $30.25 / hour or 48 cents per mile, whichever is higher
40-50 hours per week. (Full-time, permanent)
Requirements:
- Completion of high school (secondary school)
- No experience required. Experience is an asset.
- Must be able to communicate in English.
- Must be able to provide Class 1 driving license and air brakes endorsement.
The worker will perform the following job duties:
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
- Perform emergency roadside repairs
- Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
- Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
