The Addictions Counsellor at the Battlefords Treatment Centre plays a key role in supporting clients on their recovery journey by helping them make positive, healthy life changes.

This position involves:

Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
Facilitating group and one-on-one counselling sessions, and
Promoting client participation in cultural, educational, and therapeutic programming.

The Counsellor is responsible for:

Assessing client needs
Responding to crisis situations
Maintaining accurate documentation, and
Ensuring adherence to organizational policies and ethical standards.

The role also focuses on fostering client growth across spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical well-being within a safe and supportive environment.

A minimum Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or Psychology is considered an asset.
