Job Duties:

Plan, create, and implement age-appropriate Montessori-based learning activities for infants, toddlers, and young children, including those with special needs.
Provide specialized care and educational support to children with developmental delays, behavioral challenges, and diverse learning needs, using individualized education and support plans.
Observe children and record developmental progress, behaviours, and learning needs.
Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment.
Support children with daily routines, including meals, hygiene, and rest time.
Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child’s progress and needs.
Assist in organizing classroom materials and setting up learning areas.
Follow licensing regulations, health and safety protocols, and school policies.
Collaborate with other educators and staff to support classroom and program goals.

Qualifications:

Completion of an Early Childhood Educator certificate or diploma.
A valid ECE license to practice in British Columbia is necessary.
Special Needs Educator Certificate (SNE) is required.
Infant and Toddler Educator Certificate (ITE) is required.
Strong patience and interpersonal skills.
Ability to create a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment for children.
First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
