Carpenter – Full-Time (Residential Construction)

Job Description

Skyview Designs Inc. is a growing residential construction company based in Calgary, specializing in custom builds, renovations, and finish carpentry. We are currently looking for a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our team on a full-time basis.

This position is available due to increased project demand and company growth.

Responsibilities

• Perform framing, finishing, and general carpentry work
• Install cabinets, trim, doors, and interior finishes
• Read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications
• Measure, cut, and assemble materials accurately
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and building codes
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Work independently and as part of a team
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of carpentry experience
• At least 1 year of work experience in Canada
• Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)
• Experience in residential construction (custom builds and renovations preferred)
• Ability to read drawings and work independently
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
• Valid driver’s license
• Own vehicle required

Assets (Preferred Qualifications)

• Alberta carpentry certification or trade ticket (or in progress)
• Additional safety certifications (Fall Protection, WHMIS, etc.)

Job Details

• Position: Full-time, permanent
• Hours: 30–40 hours per week
• Wage: $30–$38 per hour (based on experience)
• Location: Calgary and surrounding areas
