Skilled Boneless Meat Portion Control Cutter

Tri R Foods International Inc. is a food processing company in Mississauga, Ontario. We are experts in fresh, custom sized, and line ready poultry products as wellas other meat proteins. We are looking for skilled Poultry/ Meat hand portion cutters to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the portion control cutting and quality control trimming of various boneless meat products.

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Language: English must be spoken and understood
• Work Experience:  2 years experience in meat hand portioning is mandatory
• Duration: 2 years, starting 5 days after successful Work Permit approval

 

Main Duties:

• Meet the specification of each cut required by our customers. Existing, Speciality and new cuts.
• Speciality cut boneless poultry and some other meat from time to time to specific weight and dimensional specification as directed by management and production schedule requirement.
• Meet 65% of the minimum cut volumes, per hour, set out for each different product within the first 3 months (or sooner) of employment referred to as “training period”. Then, progress to meet 100% of the minimum cut volumes, per hour, set out for each different product within the first 6 months (or sooner) of employment known as the “qualifying period”.
•  Transport finish cut material using cart and totes provided, to quality check and weight station for approval or work performed to standard and to record weight of product volume cut.
• Rework all product not cut to specifications if tolerances allowed are exceeded.
• Maintain your knife and sharpening steel in condition for optimum cutting efficiency.
• Clean equipment and work areas to maintain health and sanitation standards
• Adhere to health and safety rules including using personal protective equipment where appropriate.
• Assist Supervisors, lead hands and other employees with movement of goods within the warehouse as required

Permanent: Full Time

Work Hours: approximately 35- 44hrs/week average.   Initial shift time of 8 a.m. (8am-5 pm) with possible adjustments to mid shift variable start or possibly afternoon start if required by the Company, in the future, due to volume or space adjustments.

Wage: $37/hourwith annual wage review.

Bonus: Amounts paid on volumes that exceed minimum cut volumes on each product, at their respective rates, after the “qualifying period” expiry. Rate list is posted.
