Job duties: 

  • Design, develop, and commission Cryopeak LNG Trailers and systems along with creating processes to monitor and control these systems. 
  • Ensure that Cryopeak LNG Trailers and systems are designed to operate effectively, efficiently, and safely. 
  • Design and develop new Cryopeak LNG Trailers, equipment, and systems. 
  • Manage mechanical, electrical, and control and instrumentation design and documentation. ? Lead engineering responses in the permitting phase of projects. 
  • Ensure systems and designs comply with applicable laws, regulations, and codes. ? Detail specifications for procurement and scope of work for contractors. 
  • Conduct various procurement functions when required. 
  • Create operations manuals and provide input into commissioning and test plans. ? Ensure systems are efficiently and safely commissioned on customer sites. 
  • Provide customer support and troubleshooting when LNG equipment and systems are in operation. 
  • Work closely and collaboratively with other team members in Cryopeak to ensure that our company’s objectives are met. 
  • Interact with design engineers, operations engineers, purchasers and other internal staff. ? Carry out project management within cost and time constrained environments. 

Terms of employment: Permanent and full-time. 

The language of work: English. 

Wage: $57.69 per hour ($120,000 per year, 40 hours per week).

Skills requirements: 

  • Required education: 
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Engineer in Training (EIT). 
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or in a related engineering discipline.

Required work experience: 

  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in designing cryogenic trailers and other cryogenic projects. 
  • Understanding of applicable Canadian codes, regulations, and standards associated with cryogenic trailer design. 
  • Ability to travel to project sites if required. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and a willingness to learn within a new industry. 
  • Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. 
  • Detail-oriented with a knack for proactive problem-solving and a passion for driving project success from planning to execution. 
  • Must treat safety and quality as the highest priority in the workplace.
  • Experience in an EPCM environment is an asset. 
  • CAD and drafting experience is an asset.
