We are currently seeking an experienced Twin-Steer Dump Truck Driver to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to contribute to impactful projects across the Halifax Regional Municipality.

Job Responsibilities

Operate a twin-steer dump truck with 18-speed manual transmission to transport materials safely and efficiently
Drive on assigned routes in accordance with company procedures and safety regulations
Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle and equipment
Safely move equipment using a tag trailer within HRM and throughout the province
Operate under varying traffic, road, and weather conditions
Maintain communication with dispatch, team members, and supervisors
Report any mechanical issues, delays, or hazards promptly
Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and adherence to site protocols

Job Requirements

Language: English

Education: Diploma or apprentice training of 6 months to 2 years

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience operating dump trucks with an 18-speed transmission
Experience moving equipment with tag trailers is required
Valid Class 3 Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract
Safety certifications such as WHMIS or First Aid are considered assets
Physically fit and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Comfortable working independently and managing time effectively
Strong awareness of road safety and vehicle operation best practices
Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with team members
Proactive and adaptable with a strong work ethic
