Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate daily operations of the restaurant.
- Manage staff performance, scheduling, and training.
- Ensure high standards of food quality, customer service, and cleanliness.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
- Implement health and safety procedures in compliance with provincial regulations.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues efficiently.
- Prepare budgets, cost estimates, and operational reports.
- Coordinate with head office on promotional campaigns and business updates.
Qualifications
- Completion of a bachelor’s degree or college diploma in hospitality, food and beverage service management, or in a related field such as business, psychology, or communications, combined with a minimum of 3-4 years of managerial experience in the food service industry, is required.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential to uphold Edo Japan’s service standards and team performance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required, along with the ability to generate operational reports such as sales summaries, staffing schedules, and inventory tracking. Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and restaurant management software is an asset.
- Strong written communication skills are necessary for internal documentation, training materials, and correspondence with head office.
- Have completed these certifications: First Aid, CPR, Safe Food Handling, WHMIS
