Akari Japanese Restaurant (J & M Restaurant Ltd.) is seeking a qualified Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team.
Number of Positions: 1
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent (depending on a skill set)
Hourly Wage: C$29.00~C$37.00
Working Hours: 30 hours per week
Benefit: 10 days of paid vacation per year or 4% of gross salary for vacation pay
Work Location: 7261 120th Street, Delta, BC V4C 6P5
Qualifications:
- Completion of secondary school is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in the food service sector, including experience in a supervisory role, is required.
- Serving-it-Right certificate is required.
- Language of Work: English
Job Duties:
- Assist the restaurant manager in overseeing daily shift operations and ensuring customer service excellence and the restaurant’s profits
- Supervise and train new staff to support restaurant manager
- Monitor staff performance
- Implement company policies and operational procedures
- Handle inventory, order supplies and minimize waste
- Assist in recruiting and scheduling, and maintain strong collaboration between front-of-house and back-of-house teams
- Ensure staff compliance with service standards, and health and safety regulations
- Review customer feedback and address any customer concerns professionally
