Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate, responsible, and experienced caregiver to provide dedicated care and support to two elderly adults in a private household in Etobicoke.

The caregiver will be responsible for:

• Assisting with personal care and daily living activities
• Preparing and serving meals
• Administering medications, and maintaining a clean and safe home environment.

The role requires patience, reliability, and excellent communication with family members to ensure the best possible care.

This is a permanent, full-time position offering stable employment and competitive compensation.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Assist with personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming
• Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs
• Manage and administer medications as directed
• Perform light housekeeping related to the seniors’ care, including daily cleaning of living areas, kitchen, dining and bathroom; make beds; weekly laundry
• Assisting with bedtime routine, ensuring a safe transition to sleep
• Ensure a clean, safe, and orderly living environment
• Communicate regularly with family members regarding care needs and updates

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

• Work in employer’s home
• Standing, walking, and assisting with mobility
• Light housekeeping and household duties
• Ability to manage time and work independently

Work Site Environment

Private residence in Etobicoke; smoke-free environment

Requirements

• Education: Post-secondary education in nursing, caregiving, or related programs
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in caregiving or nursing
• Language: English (spoken and written) required; Italian is considered an asset
• CPR Certificate
• Criminal Record
• Reference
