Roles and Responsibilities:
- Maintaining, in good order, all records and files assigned to this function and the safekeeping of all company records including computer information and personnel records.
- Serve as a key member of the Management Team and is required to participate in the regularly scheduled Management Team meetings.
- Facilitate training for new members in the team.
- Review, track, approve/deny on time off requests for team members.
- Direct the employees and their resources with enough guidance, direction, leadership, and support necessary to ensure that they are familiar with company goals and are able to accomplish these goals.
- Review and assess team members' performance, and provide feedback for performance improvement and goal setting.
- Conduct technical interviews with new candidates as needed.
- Submit all employee relation documentations to HR team including but not limited to: leave of absence, performance evaluation form, etc..
- Cooperate with HR to ensure workers safety in the office.
- Ability to cooperate with members from other teams as needed, and maintain good relationship with other team leaders.
- Strong work ethics and good attendance, leading the Accounting team with utmost honesty and integrity.
- Monitor Inventory Control functions to ensure that daily inventory reconciliations are completed on time and that any discrepancies have been fully investigated and resolved.
- Prepare weekly labor allocation sheets with the forecast hours and meet with Controller & Production Mgr to finalize the approve forecast numbers prior to distributing to the Growers.
- Review with Controller and update AMCO Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) to ensure that internal controls are in place to mitigate any risk of overspending and material waste.
- Investigate policies and procedures, work with HR to explore alternative courses of action and formulate recommendations for the development, implementation and modification of office administration procedures or methods on Operating Procedures.
- Evaluate new potential processes and/or new products to increase revenue or save operating costs.
- Working with special projects and information from our advisors and the insurance company advisors.
- Departmental reports – (Farms-AFI): Daily updates & analysis to the actual costs vs. forecast and Budget. Follow up & correspond with Production Mgr and Growers.
- Departmental reports – (Distribution and Warehouse-API): Daily updates & analysis to actual costs vs. forecast and Budget. Follow up & correspond with Distribution Mgr.
- Reconcile the Grower’s pay.
- Generate and reconcile the Weekly “Spending Report vs. Budget” report. Review and analyze the weekly spending report.
- Monitor customer credits and short pays.
- Any Analysis from Famous such as Speciality reports, Profits on POs, Charges codes, etc.
- Review and complete invoices’ price adjustments.
- Helps creates budget and forecasts numbers used for company’s budgets statements.
- Perform other job-related tasks as assigned.
- Complete tasks as assigned by VP Finance or other executive team members on a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Commerce, Finance, Economics or related fields.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management.
- Strong:
- Computer skills (MS Office, Excel); experience using Famous or SAP is an asset.
- Organization skills
- Communications skills, able to cooperate with other team members
- Honest, reliable and dedicated
- Ability to learn fast
