Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Systems Desktop Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our desktop systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and user support. This role involves working with a variety of systems, including the Microsoft Stack and other specialized tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Configuration Management: Ordering, set up and maintain desktop systems, including hardware, software, imaging, and network components. Ensure all systems are configured correctly and running efficiently.
Access Control: Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls. Ensure only authorized personnel have access to specific systems and data.
Security: Implement and enforce security policies. Monitor incidents, conduct security audits, and ensure compliance with regulations.
Troubleshooting and Technical Support: Provide technical support to end-users by resolving hardware and software issues through our D365 Ticketing system. Troubleshoot system performance issues and ensure all systems are running smoothly.
User Education and Training: Conduct user training sessions and develop documentation.
System Monitoring and Maintenance: Proactively monitor system performance, install and update software applications, and maintain an accurate IT asset inventory.
Collaboration: Work closely with other IT professionals, such as Network Architects and Security Engineers, to optimize desktops, ensure high availability, and align with security protocols.
Technical Skills:
- Microsoft Stack: Proficiency in Active Directory, Azure Portal, Purview, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Dynamics, Power Automate, and PowerShell.
- It is very important this staff member be extensively experienced for setting up, managing, and troubleshooting with resolve for Windows 8, 10, 11.
Other Systems: Experience with InTune, AvePoint, Screen Connect, Beauceron, Bell Total Connect, and AdminDroid.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of proven experience as a Systems Desktop Administrator or similar role.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network components.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate; Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator)
- Experience with:
- Cloud-based systems and virtualization technologies.
- Industrial print software's and hardware.
- IT End User technical support across a multi-locational national business model.
- Experience working in a SOC2 compliant environment.
Working Conditions:
- This position is required to be in office 3 days a week.
- May require:
- Occasional evening or weekend work to perform maintenance or resolve critical issues.
- On site support at our various locations.
- Ability to lift and move computer equipment as needed.
