Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced, full-time Phone Repair Technician with specialized skills in micro-soldering to join our team. The ideal candidate should be passionate about technology, possess exceptional repair skills, and be proficient in delicate soldering tasks. You will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing a wide range of mobile device issues, with an emphasis on micro-soldering components.

Duties:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot phone hardware and software issues.
  • Perform advanced board-level repairs, including micro-soldering tasks such as replacing chips, connectors, and damaged circuits.
  • Repair and replace phone components including screens, batteries, and charging ports.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and parts used.
  • Ensure quality control and maintain a high standard of repair excellence.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repair processes and managing customer expectations.
  • Stay updated on new technologies and techniques relevant to phone repairs and microsoldering.

Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Phone Repair Technician with a focus on micro-soldering.
  • Proficiency in using soldering tools and microscopes for precision work.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical schematics.
  • Proficient in computer hardware repair and maintenance.
  • Experience in retail sales is a plus, enhancing customer interaction skills.
  • Ability to analyze technical problems effectively and propose suitable solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of mobile operating systems, particularly Android and iOS.
  • Familiarity with schematics for electronic devices is beneficial.
  • Competence in software troubleshooting across various platforms, including MacOS and Windows.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with customers professionally and courteously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications related to electronics repair or microsoldering.
  • Experience with other device repairs (tablets, laptops, etc.) is an asset.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard repair software/tools.
  • At least 2-3 years work experience.
  • Trades certificate or diploma related to electronics repair or micro-soldering or equivalent experience.

Pay: $23.00 per hour
