We are seeking a compassionate and dedicate caregiver for our 85-year-old mother and her dependant 60-year-old son, who has schizophrenia. The ideal candidate will be patient, understanding, and experienced in providing support to individuals with diverse needs.

A live in option is available to the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

Support the son with daily activities and encourage engagement in social and recreational activities.
Administer medications as prescribed and monitor health conditions.
Prepare nutritious meals and assist with dietary needs.
Assist with light housekeeping and laundry.
Take clients to appointments and assist with shopping. (vehicle provided)
Provide companionship and emotional support to both individuals.
Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in caregiving or a related field.
Understanding of mental health issues, particularly schizophrenia.
CPR and First Aid certification.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.?

Education

College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
or equivalent experience

Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
