A full-time, on-site role for a new hotel Construction Project Manager located in Woodbridge, ON. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, design, and construction of a new hotel project. They will coordinate with various stakeholders, manage budgets, timelines, and resources, and ensure the successful completion of the project. Liaise with the construction manager and quantity surveyor during progress reports.
27 Developments is building Vaughan's first 5-Star Curio by Hilton Hotel Vie. Our project includes a 12 Storey high end attraction with underground parking, restaurants, SPA, gym, Win Club and a Roof Top pool with a retractable glass roof. Our hotel will be linked to the adjacent event center for corporate events or other festivities.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and tracking of projects to ensure they are completed efficiently and effectively. This is 100+ million-dollar hotel project
Qualifications
- Experience in project management, specifically in large scale construction projects
- Knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and regulations
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead project teams to deliver high-quality projects on time
- Develop project plans, including scope, goals, budget, and timelines
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed
- Identify and manage project risks
- Liaise with construction manager and quantity surveyor during progress reports
- Coordinate project activities and ensure all team members understand their roles
- Manage an onsite safety committee and champion monthly audits
- Implement project management best practices and methodologies
- Conduct root cause analysis to address project issues
- Facilitate change management processes

- Proficiency in product management principles
- Strong risk management capabilities

- Ability to write technical documentation effectively
- Experience in project coordination and scheduling
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies
- Expertise in project implementation strategies
