Compensation: $28.50 per hour

Overtime pay rate : $42.75/hour after 44 hours/week

Vacation: vacation pay 4% of the gross pay,

Job Protected Unpaid Leave: 10 days for personal emergencies such as illness, injury and certain other emergencies and urgent matters.

Work hours: Minimum 35 hours per week, some weekends may be required

Job duties:

Oversee and manage daily operations of the store and the gas station and act as a leader for the store employees including hiring, reviewing, and employee scheduling
Assist in planning annual or specific budgets
Develop rapport and make connections with the retail team and customers
Resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner
Implement and enforce daily operating procedures to ensure store is clean, adequately stocked, organized, and well kept
Ensure all merchandise is stocked and displays are attractive, priced correctly, and displayed in a safe manner
Maintain quality brand image standards
Complete daily paperwork and computer entries in a timely manner as established by management
Monitor cash over and short, inventory shrinkage, and drive offs daily
Understand all information in the daily reporting of store operations
Follow and enforce all company policies and established procedures in the store operations
Communicate and perform all price change requests, markdowns/ups as requested by the manager
Enforce safety and security and report all unsafe conditions
Report and process all employee and/or customer incidents or accidents following company procedure

Requirements/Qualifications:

Six months to 1 year experience in retail business or gas station environment preferred
Completion of secondary school
Willing to relocate
Experience in budgeting
Must have excellent communication skills in English and client service
Education from a Canadian institute is an asset
Able to work weekday and weekends
Highly effective teamwork and organizational skills
Attention to detail in all areas of work
