Bilingual Sourcing Agent

Job Description:

Schnell Plastics Limited is seeking a Bilingual Sourcing Agent who can communicate and negotiate effectively in both English and Chinese (Mandarin). This role is critical for managing the procurement of materials, equipment, and services necessary for our manufacturing and operational processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying reliable suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services both domestically and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Purchase general and specialized parts, material and equipment for the company.
• Develop specifications for materials and supplies to be procured.
• Solicit tenders, consult with suppliers, and review quotations.
• Negotiate contract terms and conditions in both English and Chinese (Mandarin)
• Manage logistics for delivery schedules, monitor progress, and resolve any supply chain issues.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery.
• International travel may be required for supplier meetings and contract negotiations.

Employment Requirements:

• Education: College diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field may be required, especially for purchasing specialized industrial products.
• Experience:

Previous work experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain is required.

Bilingual proficiency in both English and Chinese (Mandarin) is required.

Knowledge and experience in plastic injection molding is a strong asset.

• Travel: Willingness and ability to travel internationally for vendor meetings and negotiations.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong negotiation and communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
• Familiarity with procurement software and tools.
• Ability to analyze and compare vendor quotations.
• Experience managing contracts and supplier relationships.
• Understanding of logistics and supply chain management principles.
• Knowledge of plastic injection molding materials and related products is highly preferred
