A day in the life:
Our qualified Refrigeration Journeymen repair and maintain refrigeration equipment. Typical refrigeration equipment includes display cases, walk-in coolers/freezers, reach-in and undercounter coolers/freezers, ice machines, and reach-in blast chillers. If you can service hot as well as cold commercial food equipment that is a bonus! Typical cooking equipment (gas, steam, and electric) examples: dishwashing equipment, ranges, fryers, steamers, and combi-ovens and more. If you are not currently certified, we will support your future training and educational goals. Your role will use your industry knowledge to service complex equipment, while providing exceptional customer service to our customers - you get to be the HERO every day! We would support team members challenging the Ontario side licenses if you do not have them.
What you bring:
- 2 to 5 years' experience as a refrigeration technician
- 313A journeymen or red seal refrigeration mechanic
- G2/G1 are assets but not required
- Experience diagnosing and trouble-shooting commercial refrigeration equipment
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Valid driver's license with a relatively clean driving record
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, accountable and self-driven
- Must be available to work overtime and participate in the on-call rotation
- Able to occasionally travel to work at other locations as needed, or travel for training purposes
