Position Summary:
A leader in marine steering gear systems is seeking an experienced Electronic Assembler Lead. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of electronic assemblers in the assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of marine steering components, including hydraulic and electric control systems. This role requires a background in marine electronics and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in production.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
- Lead and supervise a team of electronic assemblers, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Assign tasks and manage workflow to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, progress, and any issues.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
Assembly and Production:
- Oversee the assembly of electronic components for marine steering systems, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct hands-on assembly, soldering, wiring, and installation of electronic parts as needed.
- Implement and maintain best practices for electronic assembly processes, including the use of appropriate tools and materials.
Quality Control:
- Perform quality checks on assembled products, identifying and addressing any defects or issues.
- Maintain accurate records of quality control processes and outcomes.
Technical Support:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for assembly-related issues.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to resolve technical problems and improve assembly processes.
- Assist in the development and updating of assembly manuals and procedures.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all assembly activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
- Promote and enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe working practices.
- Conduct regular safety audits and address any safety concerns promptly.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in electronics or a field experience in a similar role
Experience:
- 1 year of experience in:
- Electronic assembly
- Supervisory role
- Experience in the marine industry is highly desirable.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficient in soldering, wiring, and electronic assembly techniques.
- Knowledge of marine electronic systems, including hydraulic and electric steering controls.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination for precise assembly tasks.

Compensation:
Wage: $26.20 – $28.70 hour, will be determined based on the experience
