Job Overview
We are seeking to hire a full-time Construction Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate residential commercial construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget
- Determine and define project scope and objectives
- Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
- Plan, prepare, and submit construction project budget estimates based on scope of work, resource requirements, schedules and milestones
- Monitor construction schedules and milestones and budget targets to align with company revenue objectives
- Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors
- Develop and implement quality control programs by establishing management systems, testing, remediation and maintenance
- Represent company on matters such as business services and union contracts negotiation
- Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients
- Hire and supervise the activities of subcontractors and staff in the management and implementation of multiple construction projects.
- Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders
- Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
Qualifications
- Bachelor's and Master’s degree in civil engineering
- At least 10 years of residential commercial project management experience
- Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
- Well versed in: AutoCad, Navisworks, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Dynamics NAV
- Proven ability to solve problems creatively
- Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful
- Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
- Management and leadership skills

- Commercial residential, commercial and publicly funded construction projects
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
- Attention to detail; Combination of sitting, standing, walking
Ability to Supervise
- Working groups; SubContractors; Staff in various areas of responsibility
Work Location Information
- Greater Toronto Area
Wage: $30-40/hour; 30-40 hours/week
