We are looking for a talented Sri Lankan and South Indian cuisine Chef to join our Team! You will use your culinary skills in preparing authentic Sri Lankan and South Indian dishes in the traditional art to help build our establishment's brand.

 

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Skilled and specialized in authentic Sri Lankan and South Indian Cuisine
  • Prepare and cook meals to the most authentic and traditional quality of Sri Lankan and South Indian cuisine

  • Help with planning menus and making changes/additions in accordance with their expertise and recommendations
  • Pay attention to detail and ensure food quality meets standards
  • Must prepare food in accordance with health regulations
  • Prepare dishes for guests who have food allergies and special dietary requirements
  • Ability to estimate and prepare food for a large number of guests (50-700 people)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time-management and multi-tasking skills
  • Take inventory and prepare order forms
  • Be a team player with a helpful attitude towards co-workers
  • Oversee Kitchen operations and supervise kitchen staff
  • May help with cleaning the kitchen post-event
  • Must be available from Thursday - Sunday, and the odd Monday/holiday
  • Be prepared to prepare specific dishes for a taste test during hiring process

 

Expected Salary (depending on skill):

$18-$25 /hour
