Responsibilities and Duties

Below are the functions this position will perform on a regular basis, along with how the job functions within the organisation. This position reports directly to the Owner and works together with the Kitchen Lead. This role operates primarily in Spanish. 

  • Deliver a consistently high level of customer service to each guest and maintain a safe environment by identifying ways to increase the guest experiences on a day-to-day basis.
  • Keep the dining room and store clean in accordance with the company’s opening and closing guidelines as well as the requirements of the local health and safety department.
  • Take customer orders and provide excellent customer service. 
  • Address customer complaints and concerns. 
  • Maintain an accurate cash drawer throughout the day and be able to account for any and all discrepancies in the final drawer tally.
  • Develop an effective and efficient work pace that keeps the guests shopping and those within the dining room satisfied at all times.
  • Organise and maintain inventory.
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for product and other supplies.
  • Operate the RIA money transfer system when required.
  • Prepare and submit reports.
  • Manage day-to-day business operations.
  • Stocking receiving and organising supplies
  • Ensure systems and equipment are operating efficiently and that proper maintenance and repairs are performed.
  • Ensure food service and quality control.
  • Ensure hygiene and sanitation practices conform to policies and regulations.

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous experience working in a restaurant or food industry preferred
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment and utensils

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team as cooks
  • Ensure quality and consistency of our menu items

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $16.55 per hour
