We are looking for a Marketing  & Customer Service Specialist to join our team and play an important role in our company.

Role Summary: 

The Marketing Specialist’s main goal is to promote and target niche market for tutoring. They will manage marketing campaigns, ensure adherence to brand guidelines, and keep leads for new business moving through the sales pipeline. Most importantly, the Marketing Specialist must be skilled at bringing in new clients in the Asian and Middle Eastern communities and closing contracts. 


Core responsibilities: 

  • Business development – acquire new accounts and prospect for new business
  • Community liaison, meeting with local community leaders to grow the business in the niche market
  • Discuss strategy and sales promotion opportunities with clients
  • Help to develop advertising campaigns after defining the marketing strategy with clients
  • Manage post campaign analysis and report on the advertising metrics
  • Present creative proposals to clients for approval, making sure all components are in line with the   brand 
  • Develop and implement public relations strategies
  • Grow existing agency and client accounts by cross-selling 
  • Address any clients’ concerns as well as replying to clients’ feedback 
  • Be able to prepare reports, briefs, presentations, and press releases to our clients
  • Manage budgets for multiple accounts 
  • Organize our workshops and year round events (job fairs, trade shows and parent teacher meetings etc.)
  • Act as our spokesperson for the company to the public


Skills and qualifications

  • A University degree in Marketing, business, or in a related field is preferred. 
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing is required
  • Be able to anticipate obstacles and have a sense of urgency. Being able to address clients’ concerns, issues, and feedback and deliver completed projects by deadline is extremely important for this role. 
  • The successful candidate will work on multiple accounts, so attention to detail and organizational skills are essential so nothing slips under the radar. 
  • The successful candidate musts have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to connect and engage with a variety of personalities, both on the client and our company side. They should possess great communication and presentation skills and must possess creativity and an understanding of the advertising and marketing industry, and current trends. 
  • An exceptional ability to understand client business from their perspective and develop strong client relationships 
  • High energy, be a self-starter with a drive for results and innovation 
  • A thorough understanding of digital advertising and excellent knowledge of the agency/creative or publisher decision-making process 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • A fun attitude and an enjoyment of industry/social events 
  • A desire to embrace winning as a team, enjoy collaboration 
  • A big picture focus with no fear of performing the small tasks it will take to get there

Salary: $ 25 - $28.50 per hour, 30 - 35 hours per week
Permanent, full-time
