We are a multidisciplinary clinic with two clinical sites -- North York and Scarborough. Our primary focus is on providing quality and comprehensive healthcare services to the general public. Our dedicated healthcare providers and staff are committed to providing exceptional services as well as expanding our services to meet the needs of our existing patients and our growing patient base.
What we need:
As a medical receptionist/assistant, you will work with alongside healthcare providers as well as all existing support staff to deliver care to all patients at both clinical sites. The ideal medical receptionist/assistant should be able to travel to both clinical sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for both clerical and receptionist duties which would include:
- handling incoming phone calls and scheduling appointments in a friendly, knowledgeable and courteous manner
- verifying patient information and preparing patient files
- encouraged to promote quality patient care, services and products available at the clinic
- to perform recalls of existing patients and other follow-up calls to patients e.g. reminders
- use of the clinic’s billing system to collect fees associated with services provided
- order, monitor and maintain medical supplies or equipment required for clinical use
- be required to sterilize medical equipment and supplies where necessary
- maintain cleanliness of the clinic as needed
- be required to perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- you will possess excellent written and verbal skills in English and be able to converse in Mandarin and/or Cantonese due to our patient base.
- strong computer ability using MS office (Word and Excel) and social media skills is required.
- excellent organizational, analytical, customer service and communication skills are required.
- you must have the ability to multi-task and work under pressure during the clinic’s busiest hours.
- ability to work well in a team environment and independently is essential.
- attention to detail is a must.
- a working knowledge of general accounting practices is preferred.
