Job Title:

CAD Technician

Are you ready to embark on a thrilling journey in the world of luxury and residential design-build? AspenGrove Developments, located in Winnipeg, MB, is looking for a passionate CAD Technician to join their growing team!

 

In this role, you will be a key member of the team. Reporting to the President, the CAD Technician will be responsible for liaising with multiple departments to convert client blueprints and design plans into computer generated models using CAD software. You may be required to work as part of a team or individually on multiple projects simultaneously.

• Create surface and solid CAD models according to client specifications
• Input design specifications into CAD software
• Liaise with customers and Project Managers to design drawings
• Review CAD models with clients and make modifications as needed
• Complete final model and deliver the final product to clients
• Ensure reporting and projects are documented accurately and according to company standards
• Plan and organize work priorities to meet customer schedules, demand, and deadlines
• Conform to applicable standards and codes, as well as company policies and procedures

 

Requirements

• Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.)
• Previous experience as a CAD Technician or similar position
• Experience working in residential construction 
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD or Revit software
• A clear understanding of code & bylaw requirements
• Understands how to build, proper designations and callouts
• Familiarity with SketchUp would be a definite asset
• Proficient in understanding construction documents
• Ability to:
  • Read and translate blueprints and technical drawings
  • Thrive and excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Work in a continuous improvement environment
• Solid understanding of building design and mechanical processes
