Role and Responsibilities:
As a Junior Research Associate, you will play a vital role in executing genomics research projects, expanding your skill set, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting senior researchers in conducting experiments related to genomics, DNA sequencing, and molecular biology.
- Participating in sample collection, DNA extraction, genotyping, sequencing and quality control processes.
- Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, including sequencers, PCR machines, and other analytical instruments.
- Analyzing experimental data, recording results, and ensuring accuracy in documentation.
- Collaborating with colleagues to optimize protocols and methodologies for research purposes.
- Contributing to team meetings and discussions on research progress.
- Staying updated with the latest advancements in genomics and molecular biology.
- Bachelor's degree in Genetics, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Solid foundation in genomics and molecular biology techniques.
- Practical experience in DNA extraction, PCR, gel electrophoresis, and other laboratory procedures.
- Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining precise records.
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
