A day in the life of a HR Generalist:
As a full-time, permanent bilingual (French and English) Human Resources Generalist, your focus will be on the day-to-day human resources tasks for Ontario, with additional responsibilities for other HR operations, such as supporting when needed the Quebec team members and leaders. You will work under the direction of the Human Resources Manager, and work closely with the Ontario leaders. As well, you will collaborate with the national HR team on broader scope initiatives. You will be part of a growing, stable organization and an industry leader in commercial kitchen equipment service in Canada.
You will be responsible for HR related duties such as onboarding, recruitment, training, health and safety and employee relations. This is a supportive environment, and the role offers an interesting variety of responsibilities and opportunity for continued learning for the right person.
You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment within a team of HR professionals as well as the local leaders. You will bring critical thinking skills, professionalism and enthusiasm to the office to increase employee engagement. Here's what you need to be successful:
- Detail-oriented and well-organized, with a demonstrated proficiency in MS Office suite of applications
- Superior written and verbal abilities in English and French, with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work within deadlines
- Ability to work independently within the discretion of the position
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Education in Human Resources
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in Human Resources, in a similar capacity
