Job Summary: The IT and Media Personnel will play a pivotal role in providing technical support and managing media-related activities. This position involves overseeing IT infrastructure, troubleshooting technical issues, coordinating media production projects, and contributing to the organisation's digital media platforms. The IT and Media Personnel must possess strong technical skills and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. IT Support:

  • Provide technical assistance to staff and members of the organization for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software applications, and peripheral devices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems promptly to ensure smooth operation during ministry activities.
  • Perform regular system backups and implement data security measures aligned with the organisation's values.

2. Media Production:

  • Collaborate with content creators, designers, and stakeholders to develop media projects, including videos, graphics, and multimedia presentations for events and outreach initiatives.
  • Manage media production processes, from pre-production planning to post-production editing and distribution.
  • Oversee equipment and software inventory, ensuring availability and functionality for media production activities.
  • Coordinate and schedule production shoots, including arranging locations, props and talent.

3. Digital Media Management:

  • Manage and update the organisation's digital media platforms, such as the website and social media channels, ensuring content accuracy and alignment with the organisation's values.
  • Monitor and analyse website traffic, user engagement, and performance metrics using analytics tools.
  • Optimise digital media content for effective communication of the organisation's mission and values.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for website hosting, domain management, and related activities.

4. Communication and Collaboration:

  • Provide training and support to staff and volunteers on media production tools and technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand media requirements for events etc.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to gather project specifications and deliverables.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in IT and media production.

Miscellaneous Duties:

  • Assist with audiovisual setup and support during conferences and special events.
  • Support the technical aspects of live streaming services and online platforms, ensuring a seamless virtual experience.
  • Maintain an organised media library and digital assets for easy accessibility and distribution.
  • Collaborate with the team, providing technical support and guidance as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, media production, or a related field (preferred).
  • Strong technical knowledge of computer systems, software applications, and networking.
  • Proficiency in media production software and tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with website content management systems (CMS) and basic HTML/CSS.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Creative thinking and attention to detail.
