Who we need

We are looking for a detail-oriented, data-focused coordinator to join us as a Process Planner. You will play a key role in maintaining our data integrity and item masters within our ERP system and creating the process plan. Your timely and accurate work will impact our product manufacturing and client delivery deadlines, and your communications will ensure awareness of deadlines and compliance with requirements. You will generate the Bill of Manufacture and support change notices throughout the life cycle of the production order.

 What you will do:

  • Maintain master files. You will define and maintain key production master files to support inventory planning and tracking through the manufacturing process. You will ensure Bill of Materials (BOMs) are associated with the correct sequence and cost center to support material allocations and planning. You will manage BOM import files to support plan development and address issues and errors as required. You will coordinate with estimating and cost accounting to ensure process BOMs reconcile.
  • Plan releases. You will collaborate with Quality Team to confirm plans are ready and coordinate the release of plans for manufacturing and procurement. You will work with the Business Unit and Scheduling to develop a plan structure that supports forecasts and long lead-time purchases.
  • Coordinate changes. You will review and assess the impact of BOM changes issued by Design on the process plan, update the relevant files, and communicate to the team impacted to ensure the correct BOM is used in the manufacturing process.
  • Prioritize quality. You will coordinate with the Quality and Business Unit to ensure the appropriate approvals are completed and issues are documented. You will follow all policies and procedures defined in the company quality system while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

You have:

  • The experience. You have direct experience in process planning and can apply your knowledge of business processes and practices to optimize item production and order policy. You understand supply chain and the impact your work has on our ability to manufacture and deliver products for customers on time at the highest quality. You have exposure to managing communications for change management and exceptional attention to detail. You understand policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and accuracy in operational transactions and reporting.
  • The project coordination skills. You can work collaboratively with colleagues to complete assigned project activities with limited supervision while meeting deadlines. You have the ability to manage competing deadlines, set and adapt timelines, solve practical problems and deal with complex variables in situations under pressure.
  • The technical skills. You are proficient with MS Office and can use database applications to enter, maintain, and analyze data and generate reports. You have worked with ERP tools to support master file maintenance, routing and BOM definitions and can convert performance analysis to plans.
  • The interpersonal skills. You have professional communication skills, including the ability to articulate plans and changes to customers and colleagues and write reports and correspondence. You can build trusting relationships across all levels of stakeholders.
  • The nice to haves. Although not required, a diploma in APICS CPIM or Supply Chain Management Certification is an asset, as is process improvement experience and training such as Lean, Six Sigma, or PDCA.
