Salary:              $30 per hour

Overtime:         After 40 hours per week at $45 per hour

Benefits:          Extended health and medical, 4% vacation pay every two weeks

Terms of Employment: Permanent/Full Time

Job duties:

• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
• Pre-Fab forms, install forms and ensure quality control of formwork.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
• Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, moulding and hardware
• Maintain, repair and renovate wooden structures in residences and other establishments
• Work with other apprentices and other construction workers
• Communicate with Carpenter Foreman regarding any concerns, discrepancies, or alterations that may arise during construction to a building or areas affected by a building on site
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills and qualification requirements:

• Ability to:
  • Work with hand and power carpentry tools and other construction equipment
  • Assess situations and identify potential hazards (Hard hat and steel toed boots required)
