Adhering to the original intention of art, VISM Event has hosted many touring performances in North America over the years, including: pop, hip-hop, classical, and traditional art. Live performances are a vehicle for disseminating the performing arts, and we are particularly fortunate to be able to join hands with many performing artists to bring their works to overseas stages, creating a top performance feast for audiences everywhere.

For our business needs, we are seeking a professional Communications Specialist to join our team who is mainly responsible for communicating with performing artists and help us to promote our events and our company’s brand. Your responsible duties include the followings:

  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement an effective communications strategy based on our target audience;
  • Write, edit, and distribute various communications contents and materials, including publications, press releases, website content, annual reports, speeches, and other marketing material that communicates the company’s activities and services;
  • Respond to media inquiries, arrange interviews, and act as a spokesperson for the company;
  • Establish and maintain effective communication relationships with performing artists agents’ team and serves as a liaison with artists and the company to ensure communication efficiency;
  • Fully responsible for accommodation and transportation arrangement when performing artists’ team is in BC during our company’s events;
  • Seek opportunities to enhance the reputation of our company’s brand, and coordinate publicity events as required;
  • Maintain records of media coverage and collate analytics and metrics;
  • Stays up to date on industry trends and makes recommendations for adjustments to communications strategies and practices;
  • Manage conflict as it arises and escalate to management; and
  • Perform other duties as required.



  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field;
  • Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in an artist’s communications role;
  • Knowledge of public activities and event planning;
  • Knowledge of entertainment and sports environment, and related media landscapes
  • Must be familiar with media promotion channels for event promotions;
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills;
  • Good time management and organizational skills;
  • Proactive in managing assignments, anticipating needs, meeting deadlines, and raising issues
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Exercise a high level of discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, content management, and familiar with social media platforms for event promotions.
