Accounting Technician and Bookkeeper

12844290 Canada Corp. is a fast growing, innovative organization in the bookkeeping industry. We are looking for organized self-starter with bookkeeping experience to join our financial team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be working with a variety of people, in various roles, throughout the organization.

Key duties but not limited to:

  • Payroll processing
  • Issuing ROEs
  • Setting up new employees in payroll software
  • Updating employee records
  • Accounts payable
  • Manage the office and provide administrative support-
  • Monthly full cycle bookkeeping
  • Accounts payable
  • Payroll administration
  • Prepare bank deposits
  • Maintain general ledgers and financial statement
  • Report to management
  • Managing physical invoices and reports.
  • Monthly multiple bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Quarterly government remittances
  • Monthly HST/GST remittances
  • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
  • Quarterly reconciliation for inter-company balances
  • Preparing various spreadsheets for the company
  • Various analysis on year end items
  • Other miscellaneous duties as needed

Softwares Required:

  • Sage 50
  • Microsoft Office software
  • Xero Accounting Software ( Advisor Certification Required)
  • Quicbooks Software
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Powerpoint
  • Payworks and/or Avimark (experience considered an asset not required)

Skills:

  • Experience with a small to mid size business
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and problem solve
  • Team player that can work independently
  • Reliable, resourceful, honest, disciplined, and self-motivated

Education:

  • Post-secondary education in Accounting and Payroll
