Job Duties: The Focke F5 Mechanic will be responsible for the training of mechanics and electricians employed at Grand River Enterprises on the Focke F5. He or she will be expected to troubleshoot any day-to-day issues that may arise regarding the Focke F5, as well as develop and work with the existing maintenance schedule, and ensure that all work is conducted in a safe, effective manner.
- Willing to train mechanics and electricians on Focke F5, monitor work quality.
- Develop, and work with, existing maintenance schedule.
- Plan and prioritize work for self.
- Determine needed supplies and equipment.
- Responsible for proper inventory of materials and supplies.
- Perform regular preventative maintenance on Focke F5 (diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments).
- Monitor need for equipment maintenance and repair.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Keep current with ongoing changes and new technology and adapt accordingly.
- Perform all other duties as assigned or needed

Skills Requirements:
- Mechanical experience with at least 5 years’ experience on Focke F5.
- Highly motivated and able to work independently.

- Knowledge of local, provincial and federal workplace compliance regulations, ordinances and legislation.

Educational Requirement:
Completion of secondary school and training courses or a vocational program is preferred
Terms of Employment: Full-time

Wage: $32.86 per hour
Hours: 44 hours per week
Overtime: $49.29 per hour after 44 hours per week

Work Conditions:
- Rotating shift work, 44 plus hours per week.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lb.
