Are you an experienced teacher based overseas or interstate? Would you like to work in a NSW public school? Great news, the Recruitment Beyond NSW Program supports qualified teachers to gain approval to teach and ongoing full-time employment with the NSW Department of Education.

As a participant in the program, you will be supported by the NSW Department of Education every step of the way, with successful applicants receiving assistance with relocation expenses, Australian border control measures, quarantine requirements and visa requirements.

Positions will commence in 2022, 2023 and 2024

Financial incentives and benefits

Interstate teachers 

  • $10,000 retention benefit after being employed by the department for 3 years
  • Up to $30,000 per annum extra under the Rural Teacher Incentive Scheme**

International teachers

  • Relocation support of up to $10,000
  • $10,000 retention benefit after being employed by the Department for 3 years
  • Up to $30,000 per annum extra under the Rural Teacher Incentive Scheme**
