Building healthy spaces, one building at a time.
Now more than ever, reliable, clean spaces are needed. So as the world returns to public spaces while remaining cautious, we are here to provide the solutions that can be relied upon - backed by our history, our collective experience, and our environmental accountability.
At Citron Hygiene, we have spent the last 45 years earning the trust of our clients: connecting them to industry-leading brands, products, and technologies.
Our business revolves around ensuring our customers have a safe space for all who come and go. And, we are continuously innovating and improving our services for infection control and prevention. Like the fruit that bears our name, we give companies that extra layer of protection.
As we continue to expand and meet the global demand for our solutions, we're growing our teams. Join us and be part of our vision to become the world's most reliable, innovative hygiene solutions provider, improving quality of life by building healthy spaces in communities where we live, work, and play.
As part of our client-facing team, you can be reassured that every safety and health precaution is taken as the restrictions and concerns around Covid-19 continue. After all, it's what we do.
Who we need
Reporting to the Sales Manager, we are looking for a Sales Representative to join us as a Hygiene Sales Expert. In this hunter role, you will make connections with potential clients, start conversations, and outline our product and services as essential, high value solutions. You will be the primary contact for decision-makers, building relationships, and closing deals.
Who you are
Whether your customer service and sales experience is at the retail, B2B, or call center level; or you are looking to make a change, you want to take the next step at a company with a purpose. You want to be part of a place that gives you the tools, training, flexibility, and autonomy to build your career.
You are a people person and tenacious problem-solver who can gain trust with stakeholders at any level and act as an advisor. You are committed to learning and growing, open to coaching and feedback, and passionate about meeting your goals. You are looking to make an impact. You want to channel your energy, expand your knowledge, and take the next step.
What's in it for you
Professional development. From day one, you will be part of our continuous education program through our Learning and Development team and our Global Sales and Enablement Process. As part of a collaborative team, including a Business Development Manager prospecting new and working with mid-to-large customers, you will be fully supported in your role. You will participate in morning stand-ups, access in-house sales coaching available 24/7, share ideas on market approach, dive into successful sales methodologies, and hear success stories as you celebrate team wins. Ultimately, you will pursue a career path that may include Team Lead, Sales Manager and beyond.
Unique but essential market position. This is a chance to work for a company that stands out above the rest, providing in-demand solutions that are essential to businesses. Our differentiator is our ability to collect and dispose of hygiene waste. In addition, you will be coached and guided on how to share your knowledge to educate prospects and clients on the core, tactical problems we solve for them - enhancing hygiene levels in their publicly and privately accessible spaces.
Impact - a goal with meaning. We play a critical role in the global movement to ensure menstrual period dignity and equity. As we create inclusive washrooms in progressive facilities, we’re helping to move the dial and ensure that everyone who menstruates has access to hygiene solutions - period products and management - without shame or stigma. Our inclusive approach to hygiene works to provide equitable outcomes for all who enter a facility. We are doing our part to raise awareness and educate our customers on our commitment to Period Dignity and Equity.
Confidence in our accountability. We know that healthy doesn't stop inside the building. The air you breathe, the water you drink, and the land you walk and live on are vitally important. That's why we're leading the way on environmental sustainability, reducing the ecological footprint of our customers. Throughout our service programs, we've integrated ways to eliminate landfill waste, conserve water, and use eco-friendly products. We've partnered with local suppliers to recycle all batteries from any product we service to keep them out of landfills. We look for biodegradable alternatives whenever possible, and we have a Waste Transfer License, so we never leave waste on-site.
Earning potential. With a base salary plus uncapped commission we want you to feel motivated to exceed your quota, rewarded for what you do, and appreciated for the impact you make.
- The experience and the drive. You take a consultative, entrepreneurial approach to prospecting leads. You resourcefully find the hidden and not so hidden prospects and pursue them relentlessly. You are comfortable using technology to manage your contacts, your deadlines, and your deliverables.
- The communication skills. You can strategically create value propositions that demonstrate the benefits of our tangible and much needed offerings. You can speak to any level of client, gaining their trust, and building internal and external relationships. You are comfortable making formal and informal presentations.
- The flexibility. You are willing and able to spend up to 70% of your time meeting with clients on-site and working outside regular business hours when required. You have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
At Citron Hygiene, we know that great companies start with great people.
Our people care about what they do and that passion attracts and retains our customers worldwide. In turn, we pushed forward as an organization during the Covid-19 pandemic, successfully retaining our people. We continued to build trust, support, and skills through virtual education, fitness sessions, and mental health workshops.
Recognized in 2020 as an Employee Recommended Workplace by Morneau Shepell and The Globe and Mail, we foster a culture of pride, commitment and knowledge sharing. With collaboration as a priority, we ensure everyone here is empowered to do the best work they can - and to feel appreciated for it. We hold our teams in high esteem, and we're committed to their ongoing professional satisfaction and development.
Beyond the four physical and virtual walls of the office, we come together to fundraise for charities and celebrate wins as a team (when the lifting of pandemic restrictions allow us to do so).
If you want to be part of a winning team, adding a layer of protection to the world as they return to work, school, and other public spaces, join us.
If you feel you meet 70% of the qualifications we are looking for and are determined to make a difference, we encourage you to apply. We promise to consider your application fully.
We welcome and encourage applications from people with disabilities. Accommodations are available on request for candidates taking part in all aspects of the selection process.
