From our headquarters overlooking Victoria’s beautiful inner harbour to our remote team-members across BC, the LlamaZOO crew develops bleeding-edge technology straight out of science fiction. We’re disrupting and improving how traditional industries do business with software products that combine big data, spatial business intelligence, enterprise systems, AR/VR, and a bit of magic.  Our software supports a variety of use-cases including sustainable natural resources development, Indigenous land stewardship, wild-fire mitigation planning, carbon sequestration, and wildlife habitat management – where our clients and partners wield LlamaZOO’s visually rich, interactive solutions to unlock the power of their data.

We’re looking for enthusiastic technical sales individuals who are ready to provide their expertise and energy to assist closing deals and supporting clients' technical needs year over year.  You’ll be working alongside our Account Executives progressing opportunities down the funnel and understanding how their data visualization needs are solved with the LlamaZOO SBI platform.  Our ideal candidate has exceptional interpersonal and social skills, with an expertise in GIS data.  A big plus if you have experience in natural resource extraction industries.

What you will be doing:

  • Proactively communicate with both clients and LlamaZOO data integration team to fully understand project scope, product needs and data layer requirements to assist in quote submissions to clients;
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills – participating in software demos and client calls related to specific project data requirements;
  • Local and international travel for conferences and client meetings;
  • Meet set goals in accordance with sales targets;
  • Become an expert in our natural resource product use-cases and the problems our customers face in their respective industries.

Required skills and experience:

  • 4+ years GIS data technical sales experience;
  • Proven ability to quickly learn about new industries and products, and continuously raise the bar;
  • Excellent customer service experience;
  • Technical background and interest in understanding new technologies;
  • Positive and professional attitude;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Leverage best practices related to placing updated and detailed information into a CRM;
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

Beneficial skills and experience:

  • Extensive knowledge of product industries such as mining, forestry, and oil & gas;
  • Experience or interest in SaaS.
