Our client, Manitoba Clinic, is seeking an Executive Director who will drive change within the Manitoba Clinic organization. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will create and lead the implementation of a visionary strategic plan, practical business plan, and long- and short-range financial plans. The Executive Director will create and sustain a high-performance organization supported by an enabling culture of high quality, patient-focused care, inclusiveness, strong fiscal management, accountability for results, continuous improvement, and compassion.

The Executive Director is responsible for ensuring the overall success of Manitoba Clinic and requires strong leadership skills and the ability to develop and maintain an environment aligned with the organization’s key values. The Board of Directors will rely on the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the individual in this role to develop and explore new business opportunities that will complement or enhance the profitability of Manitoba Clinic.

The successful candidate for this position will have an advanced degree in business, finance, health administration, or a related discipline complemented with significant executive-level experience with full responsibility for financial, human resource, and operational performance. Significant financial expertise is required to oversee the proper stewardship of Manitoba Clinic’s assets and balance sheet. A strong understanding of private structures and models, and a successful record implementing innovative but cost-effective approaches to the delivery of services within a regulated environment is required. The next Executive Director will have a strong understanding of how to develop business and financial models that maximize profitability while ensuring high-quality services and/or programs. The next Executive Director must have outstanding oral, written and presentation communication skills and a demonstrated record of working effectively with Boards of Directors, physicians, government stakeholders, and regulators and of providing visionary leadership, strong fiscal management oversight, and accountability. Ideally, the successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in building and transforming organizations and working with professional unionized employees

Candidates will have to demonstrate through examples, the desired competencies of integrity and resilience, visionary leadership, superior oral, written, and presentation communication and influencing skills, excellent judgment and decisiveness, results orientation, and business acumen.
