We are currently recruiting for an Accounting Clerk to support the accounting functions of Deeley Fabbri Sellen LLP law firm.

Deeley Fabbri Sellen LLP is a Winnipeg, MB based law firm that has been serving its clients since 1979. Deeley Fabbri Sellen’s clients include businesses of all sizes, financial institutions, professional labour unions, charitable and non-profit organizations, and individuals.


Trust Accounting:

  • Posting of receipts
  • Maintain banking, including daily review of deposits and posting of EFT/wire transactions
  • Confirming trust funds in accounts are cleared and approve payments
  • Process Trust cheques, transfers, investments and reconciliations
  • Arrange wire transfers
  • Process Debit and Credit card funds
  • Client investments, purchase investments, enter interest on investments
  • Ensure compliance with Law Society rules

Client File information:

  • Open client files in PCLaw
  • Maintain records and change file information
  • Close and archive client files
  • Retrieve closed files
  • Maintain records for offsite file storage
  • Destroy files


  • Review invoices and ensure proper procedures are followed
  • Maintain record
  • Process Trust transfers requests
  • Post manual disbursements to client files
  • Assist Legal Administrative Assistants with billing inquiries
  • Record Client Disbursements
  • Binding expenses, title searches, tax searches, PPSR searches, corporate searches
  • Upload Copitrack disbursements

Accounts Receivable:

  • Confirm the amount paid matches the amount billed and to post the client’s file
  • Enter payments received from clients into PCLaw
  • Posting of cash receipts
  • Prepare, Print and mail Monthly reminder statements
  • Prepare Referral Sources reports
  • Holiday/sick day relief for Accounting Department


  • Post-Secondary education or experience would be considered
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in bookkeeping experience
  • Quick learner
  • Proficient computer skills in a bookkeeping environment
  • Previous experience within a law office an asset
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
