The individual is responsible for serving customers by efficiently dispatching Service Technicians to service calls.  This requires communicating constantly with the Service Technicians and other team members in order to affect the repairs as quickly as possible, with consideration for their skills, parts inventory, availability and location.  Timely service is paramount for delivering excellent customer service.

Core Responsibilities

  • Prioritizes service and planned maintenance calls to dispatch to the appropriate Service Technician.
  • Responsible for coordinating the daily workflow for the Service Technician.
  • Receives updates from Service Technicians on time-in, time-out and work times. As time sheets are sent in by the Service Technicians, dispatchers investigate any variances and confirms work orders, time, etc. to put through the information for payroll and the paperwork for data entry.
  • Follows up on different call statuses and ensures the completion of open jobs within acceptable timelines, taking the particulars of the job into consideration. (WIP Management)
  • Monitors the overall efficiency of service and dispatch (turnaround times, service delays, first visit service, etc) advises CSRs so they can follow up with the customers.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with the Service Technician and Service Department.
  • Assist other members of the Customer Service Team as required.

What you bring

  • Minimum high school graduation required
  • Minimum 1 year related dispatch and customer service experience 
  • Must have experience with a current ERP system
