Summary:

The Marketing Officer will be responsible for creating, developing, executing and evaluating all marketing and communications initiatives for Gokabu Technologies Inc. to raise brand awareness.

Responsibilities:

  • Be well understanding products and services provided by the company
  • Meet with the management team to set up an annual marketing plan
  • Conduct market research on market trends and customer’s needs and desires, to identify new business opportunities and target customer groups
  • Develop and implement online and offline marketing strategies
  • Develop and execute a creative B2B and B2c advertising and promotional campaigns around holidays, brand moments and breaking news on our own Applications and on a variety of media (WeChat, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and print media etc.)
  • Reach out local businesses, organizations or institutions to team up cross-promotional partnerships
  • Organize and attend marketing activities or events to raise brand awareness
  • Assist in copywriting for the publication of publicity material and oversee design and distribution, to maximize brand promotion
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of all marketing activity and prepare measurement reports
  • Manage the company’s website and social media channels, including WeChat, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube etc.
  • Initiate and maintain contact with both traditional media and social media, and negotiate with media vendors for a good media plan
  • Monitor market trends, brand health, and competitors’ activities
  • Support in overseeing the marketing and business development department’s operations
  • Collaborate with managers in preparing budgets and monitoring expenses for marketing initiatives
  • Train and supervise new employees in the Marketing and Business Development Department

Requirements:

  • A university degree or college diploma in marketing or related field or equivalent combination of college diploma and 3 years experience in marketing
  • At least 2 years proven experience in marketing and event planning, with experience in Sharing economy
  • Solid knowledge of both traditional and digital marketing techniques and principles
  • Experience using Google Analytics and Google Trends
  • Experience analyzing data and sales figures to develop recommendations
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Creativity and commercial awareness
  • Strong organizational and project management skill with the ability of multi-task
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid BC Driver’s Licence
  • Fluent in English writing and speaking, the Second language will be an asset

Compensation:

Basic salary: $29/hour, will be entitled an increase based on the annual performance review

Terms of employment:

Full-time; 2 years contracted

Working hours:

5 days per week, 8 hours per day, include 0.5 hour paid lunchtime
