Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and as a critical member of the leadership team, the new Senior Vice President, Engineering & Design (“SVP”) will ensure the company has a strategic and forward-thinking approach to building the architectural, interior design and engineering capabilities which will allow Omicron to win work based on the technical reputation of the team. The successful candidate will oversee a team of approximately 40 professionals and technicians in architecture, interior design, and mechanical, electrical and structural engineering disciplines. The SVP will provide vision and leadership to building cross-discipline teams that leverage new technology to create innovative design solutions.

The ideal candidate is fluent in English (written and verbal) and has a Bachelor of Architecture, is a NCARB certified architect and ideally has a master’s in business administration. They have a minimum of 10 years leadership experience in an integrated design and engineering firm with a focus on institutional, light industrial and commercial projects where they have managed a team of at least 20 professionals that included interior designers, engineers and architects. They have provided the leadership that ensured projects are completed on time, on budget and met client expectations. They approve all budgets and develops the annual business plan for the department. They have taken on and delivered on a mandate that focused on leading design innovation, enhanced project management and improved financial performance by fully capitalizing on an integrated project delivery model. Their true passion is building both a company and a team, driving design excellence and advancing technological innovation and business development. He/she has the knowledge and communication and presentation skills to earn the respect of the most sophisticated clients.

This is a full time, permanent position for 40 hours per week, located in Vancouver, British Columbia, with a salary in the range of $190,000 - $240,000 plus an annual bonus up to 25% and 5 weeks of vacation.
